As director of hardware engineering at etectRx™, Judd Sheets helped bring the ID-Cap™ from concept to a reliable and practical system. He also led the development of the etectRx Reader and the wireless links used in the system. Mr. Sheets began his engineering career working for Rockwell Collins, developing commercial avionics equipment. He then spent several years in the Washington area designing surveillance receivers for the US intelligence community. As the founder of Odin Engineering Company, he has developed a wide variety of equipment and dozens of wireless communications systems, including four successful spaceflight experiments. Other projects include a C/X/Ku Satcom band up/down converter system, a C band miss-distance RADAR system and frequency synthesizers for MilStar EHF terminals and synthetic aperture RADAR systems. He has existing and pending patents, including a digital VOR bearing conversion algorithm and printed circuit board design techniques.

Mr. Sheets graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He is a senior member of the world’s largest technical professional organization for the advancement of technology, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
