Dr. Glen Flores leads the etectRx™ ID-Tag™ development team. With more than a decade of experience, his work includes fields such as biocompatible materials and thin film conductive materials, working extensively with conductive thin films, electrochemical power sources, ingestible materials, and biocompatible film systems. In 2006, Dr. Flores began developing the materials systems that would eventually be applied to the ID-Tag. From the development of the first proof-of-concept pills that established the wireless feasibility of the ID-Cap™ system to the ultra-flexible, highly manufacturable ID-Tags used by etectRx today, he has applied his expertise and leadership at every step. A visionary in the world of medication compliance monitoring, Dr. Flores holds multiple patents on systems and associated methods vital to the technology behind etectRx.
Dr. Flores earned his PhD, MS, and BS in materials science and engineering from the University of Florida. He has research experience in nanoparticles and their distributions as applied to biocompatible inks. He has also worked on developing biocompatible materials and associated RF power deposition sources for use in for radiofrequency hyperthermia systems.
