NCT03512418- An ongoing study designed to evaluate PrEP adherence data using cognitive behavioral therapy based interventions delivered through the ID-Cap™ System in MSM (men who have sex with men) participants with substance abuse who receive oral PrEP (HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis). Early trial results from 10 pilot study subsample participants demonstrate the effectiveness of intervention messages following the delivery of adherence intervention messages that are delivered to the participant after their typical expected dosing window has closed. The adherence intervention data provides encouraging results for this MSM population as substance use can increase PrEP nonadherence. For more information on the ID-Cap™ System, click here.
